Item Description
Flashes of neon greens, yellows, and blues swirl throughout the rich brown host rock in this lovely boulder opal from Australia. Opal is likely the most well-known gemstone from Australia, with multiple key localities. While New South Wales is best known for the Lightning Ridge black opals, these boulder opals are found in Queensland, the northeastern state in Australia. This colorful example has been carved into a lovely, organic piece (perfect for a pendant!) of 34.6 carats. (N)
