One of the few places for natural citrine is the Anahí mine in Bolivia, as the vast majority of citrine worldwide is heat-treated amethyst. The locality is famous for large amounts of amethyst, and ametrine for the gem market. Citrine is much more rare here, and in fact from anywhere, in natural color! This stone hails from the personal stash of a noted jeweler who has personally visited and assisted in the mining and marketing of this exotic material.
