Item Description
Rich bands of deep purple and achroic zones of fluorite are sharply delineated in this oval, polished fluorite cabochon. The crystals that form this colorful material generally aren't very sharply formed, making it more popular for the gem and lapidary community compared to the mineral collecting side of the industry. By polishing this material into thinner pieces, the true range of colors and transparency is more readily appreciated. Due to the softness of fluorite, we recommend using this piece for a pendant, if interested in setting it for jewelry. No treatment.
