Item Description
When Welo opals were discovered in Ethiopia in the early 2000s, they hugely impacted the worldwide availability of opals, and their play-of-color and affordability made them popular gems. The piece has a warm, yellow-orange body color, with bold flashes of color as light reflects across the stone. This cabochon opal gemstone has a polished front surface, while the back was left rough.
