An unusual stone from an unusual locality! This bi-colored sapphire, from Kenya, shows saturated color-zoning of a predominantly-yellow stone. The coloring of the navy blue zone disperses throughout the stone to give the piece an overall green hue. These bi-colored sapphires are referred to parti-sapphires and are predominantly found in Australia, Montana, and Kenya, though they also pop up in other localities. No treatment, as heating parti-sapphires could remove some of that trademark color-zoning! So this is not only wearable, but an interesting collector stone.
