Item Description
It doesn't take much imagination to understand why these sliced tourmalines were nicknamed "watermelon tourmaline," with the green rind and pink center, just like a bisected watermelon! This 9+ carat slice of watermelon tourmaline has pleasing color, sharp color zoning (important for this material!), and the cutter ensured it maintained a bit of thickness, to add to its hardiness. No treatment. Old material.
